Vicus, I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for the many incisive and often intellectually challenging comments that you have made on this blog. It is good to know that there is someone reading it, even if it is just you, you fat bastard!
I need to revise that last comment. I mentioned you to Stephen Fry, so I expect that he and several of his witty friends will be reading and commenting on your dissertation.
Tom, I am not sure how close a friend this Janey person is, but I find her tone distasteful. You have gone to the trouble to sum up Arizona in a way that would have made Hemingway proud. I prefer to read the works of those who have distilled the essence rather than waffle for twenty paragraphs and then say bugger all. Shame on you, Janey. You fail to recognise when you are in the presence of genius.
I particularly enjoyed this post. I walked into a fence this morning, so can't see very well, so pictures are just the job. Thanks very much. I will try the more wordy stuff on recovery of full vision.
Born a Roman Catholic but could'nt run with it. Caught the 60s just right - loved every minute of it. Sadly I was not so good at 'free love'.
I have been fortunate enough not to have had a career but when I was thirteen I did have a careers interview. They told me I should go into Forestry. I worked at CBS records for twelve weeks when I was nineteen (as a packer), but since then I have been quite successful in avoiding work. NB. My definition of work is having to do something for money that has no relevance to me and that I don't want to do.
If only the BBC did this kind of in-depth analysis in their documentaries.

ReplyDeleteYou might as well stay in the desert, Tom, there is no fucker else reading this.

ReplyDeleteHi there. Stephen suggested I might like to pop over and read Tom's latest.
ReplyDeleteDon't know why I bothered.
I was hoping for something more about horses. I'm off to Katie Price's blog. She's always so insightful.
