I must say I have never had such a positive response to one of my posts. It's good to know that my writing style, wisdom and wit are improving as time goes on. I was a little concerned about the slightly philosophical nature of the subject, but hats of to everyone, none of you have shied away from what can often be a very delicate area.
13 comments for a non-existent blog must be some kind of record Tom. Do you think perhaps there is an emperor's new clothes phenomenon going on here? I wonder how many of the comments have come from people afraid to admit that they couldn't find any blog for fear of appearing foolish.
Born a Roman Catholic but could'nt run with it. Caught the 60s just right - loved every minute of it. Sadly I was not so good at 'free love'.
I have been fortunate enough not to have had a career but when I was thirteen I did have a careers interview. They told me I should go into Forestry. I worked at CBS records for twelve weeks when I was nineteen (as a packer), but since then I have been quite successful in avoiding work. NB. My definition of work is having to do something for money that has no relevance to me and that I don't want to do.
Your wisdom has returned, I see.
ReplyDeleteBy far this is the most moving post you've ever made.
ReplyDeleteI stand in awe of you as always.
One post I can read without having to mentally block out the rude bits.
ReplyDeleteZen and the art of blogging. Some of you other bloggers could probably learn a valuable lesson from observing Tom's style.

I was a bit worried about it but I can see where you're coming from and I have to say I agree entirely

ReplyDeleteTommy, I think it bears repeating. Go ahead.

ReplyDeleteYou have a certain way with words that simply move me to tears, Tommy dear.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, I must go weep a bit more.
I don't believe I have ever read something more moving. I spent a great deal of time pondering your wise words. I'm... I'm...
ReplyDelete...speechless
